The gift is added, but my cart drawer doesn't update

Why this happens

The app adds the gift to the cart right away. Some themes' cart drawers (side carts) don't refresh when an app changes the cart, so the gift only appears after the customer refreshes the page or opens the cart page.

This depends on how the theme's cart drawer is built. Once the app has added the gift, it's in the cart even if the drawer doesn't show it yet.

What you can do

• Contact us with your theme name. We add fixes for specific themes in app updates, but some themes can't be fixed this way. After an update, open each offer and click Save so it uses the latest version.
• Send customers to the cart page. If your theme lets you open the cart page instead of the drawer after adding to cart, the gift will always be visible.
• Ask for a fix for your store. Our technical team can try a fix for your theme, which needs access to your theme.

Showing the promo banner inside the cart drawer is only possible with some cart drawers. Our technical team can check whether it's possible with yours. This needs access to your theme.
